HELIONORI
HELIONORI® is a patented calibrated active ingredient, extracted selectively from a red seaweed
* Porphyra umbilicalis which is known as "nori" in Japan. This alga contains mycosporine-like amino-acids (MAAs), a group of water-soluble nitrogenous compounds typically absorbing between 310nm and 36°nm, acting therefore as natural UV sunscreens.
These compounds are never present in terrestrial environments (except in fungi spores) but always reported in marine organisms (animals and algae) exposed to intense UV stress. Their concentration is therefore correlated to the depth and quantity of UV rays.
GELYMA proposes HELIONORI® which acts as a genuine UVA bioprotector against UVA-induced skin alterations. It:
-Protects DNA
-Prevents the formation of sun burn cells
-Protects cell membranes against UVA
HELIONORI® is interesting to prevent from photo-aging.
Sold without preservative, with Phenoxyethanol or Microcare SB (OK Cosmos). Other preservative system upon request.
