PHYTOTRACE LAVENDER

Presentation

The lavender is an emblematic flower of Provence. The Greeks, Egyptians and Romans already used it to perfume their bath water and linen. In the 18th century, the development of perfumery in Grasse dramatically increased the request of lavender and aromatic plants.

It was in the 1900s that demands exploded again, with the development of cities and perfumes. Stills were set up throughout Provence, allowing the distillation of lavender directly on site. Lavender grows wild in the south of France and adapts particularly to the dry climate of Provence. Regardless of these aromatic characteristics, it is also highly appreciated in cosmetics for its soothing, balancing and regenerative properties
