LANOLIN ALCOHOL EP

Lanolin alcohol EP is a super refined, unsaponifiable fraction of lanolin, comprising a mixture of cholesterol, lanosterol, agnosterol, and their di-hydro derivatives plus straight and branched chain aliphatic alcohols. This quality is initially produced as a standard lanolin alcohol produced by alkaline hydrolysis of woolgrease.

Lanolin Alcohol EP is a bright yellow brittle waxy solid being mainly used as a water in oil emulsifying agent. It is used in many applications including skin creams, night creams, sport creams, hair creams and baby creams. It is the final product of a complex molecular distillation matrix to remove antagonists which affects water absorption properties. This also significantly increases cholesterol content, as well as color and odors. This product in full compliance with EP pharmacopeia and is used worldwide.
