NAT RICE BRAN WAX
NAT RICE BRAN WAX is a hard, shiny and crystalline wax with a high melting point, obtained by winterization of the Rice Bran Oil.
Its specifications are very similar to those of lignite wax and carnauba wax which it can sometimes replace.
It is a very hydrophobic wax that is used as a consistency agent in lipsticks and emulsions (W/O and O/W) as well as mascaras and skin care products.
It forms a strong network of crystal wax, improving the strength and the temperature stability of end products. The emulsions obtained have light and unctuous textures which are less sticky than those produced with beeswax. They can form an emollient film that gives smoothness and slip to formulas.
NAT RICE BRAN WAX imparts hardness, texture and resistance to sticks and facilitates de-molding. It can also be a useful replacement of Carnauba and Candelilla waxes in many formulations.
It has an excellent oil gelling properties allowing use at low concentrations.
