Phenbiox s.r.l was created in 2006 by 3 research associates of the Industrial Chemistry and Materials Department of Bologna University. The experiences in the research and industrialization of biotechnological processes allowed to apply the know how developed through the research work to create a young and innovative enterprise that produces and sell a new generation of vegetal active principles.

Phenbiox´s mission is to develop, through biotechnological processes, innovative high-tech ingredients allowing cosmetic and food industries to formulate high performances products.

The technical and scientific skills of Phenbiox lead to an high flexibility in the development of new products able to fulfill the twitchy market needs. The management skills as well as the natural role of interface in between industries and several academic research groups allowed to assume the role of relevant player at a National level and to receive several awards such as the RUISNET award (being inserted in the 30 European best practice of Enterprise-university cooperation) and the UNIONCAMERE (National Chamber of Commerce) prize as Best Italian Young Innovative Enterprise in 2007).

Phenbiox s.r.l is a company, considered alike a university spin off, that develops and produces active ingredients for the cosmetic and the food sectors thanks to its own productive technologies and patents. Affirmed as an interesting innovative player for the cosmetic active principle production has recently approached with success the fields of functional ingredients for foods and integrators.
Nowadays is well established on the Italian marked thanks to a partnership with one of the larger national distributors and in 2008 started to approach the foreign market signing distribution agreements in several European, Asian and American countries.
