Coptis User Club 2026: a year of product updates and a clear focus on innovation
On 13 October, we welcomed our customers in Paris for our annual User Club. It was a day to look back together on everything we delivered in our solutions this year, share the latest features and look ahead with two innovations: Purple, our AI agent for cosmetic R&D, and Document Reader.
Building the future together
Once a year, we bring our customers together in person for our User Club. It is a unique opportunity to take stock together and co-build the future of our solutions, as close as possible to the challenges of R&D, formulation and regulatory affairs teams.
A year of updates in review. The first part of the day was dedicated to reviewing the year. We presented all the new features released in the software, with hands-on demonstrations. Many of them came directly from your requests and day-to-day feedback: that is what co-construction is all about.
Discussions and workshops. Representatives of brands, manufacturers and laboratories shared their experience and expectations. It was also an opportunity to present our vision of artificial intelligence: AI that is useful, reliable and grounded in industry expertise.
Purple: from brief to compliant formula
Innovating faster, personalising products, reducing waste and ensuring compliance: cosmetic brands, manufacturers and private-label labs have to do it all at once. We designed Purple to help their R&D, formulation, innovation and regulatory teams.
Purple turns a marketing brief or an INCI list into a compliant cosmetic formula. It draws on your raw materials and on the structured data in Coptis. Three principles guide it:
- Prompt-to-Formula: your brief or INCI list becomes a formula proposal.
- Compliance by Design: regulatory compliance is built in from the very first draft.
- Native to Coptis: Purple is embedded in Coptis for all our customers. It relies on your own data and on the Coptis knowledge base, not on external sources such as general-purpose LLMs.
Document Reader: raw materials created in moments
Entering a raw material from a supplier document takes time. Document Reader automates this task: it reads the supplier document, extracts the relevant information and creates the raw material directly in the Coptis solution. The document is then renamed and stored in your library.
Reliability is at the heart of the process:
- The AI reads the supplier document (PDF).
- Extracted values are checked against your settings and Coptis reference data (properties, solubilities, alerts…).
- The Coptis raw material sheet is pre-filled automatically: INCI breakdown and traces, alerts, naturalness (ISO 16128, Cosmos)…
And this is just the beginning. Upcoming releases will let you check every value against its page number and original passage, import several documents in different formats for the same raw material, and update raw materials already in your database.
Innovation built with you
The User Club workshops helped us gather your priorities. Your feedback will directly shape the roadmap for Purple, Document Reader and the other new features released in Coptis SaaS. This dialogue continues all year round: thank you all for taking part!
